The charity is considered the oldest musical institution in Reading, Berkshire with a history that dates to 1899. It has always aimed to support any member of the public, including young people, who can play a brass band instrument and wishes to join. Particularly those members of the public who demonstrate a positive attitude, approach, and team commitment to the art of brass band music making.
