THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) TO PROMOTE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF WORCESTER AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AT THE OLD NORTH STABLES, WORCESTER RACECOURSE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID PEOPLE. 2) TO PROMOTE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN WORCESTER AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF COMMUNITY GARDENS BASED ON SUSTAINABLE HORTICULTURAL PRACTICES AND COMMUNITY NATURE RESERVES WHICH PROMOTE BIODIVERSITY IN AND AROUND THE OLD NORTH STABLES SITE; 3) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN WORCESTER AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEARNING ABOUT HORTICULTURE, CONSERVATION, WOODWORKING AND BEEKEEPING, IN AND AROUND THE OLD NORTH STABLES SITE.
