THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY IN SCARBOROUGH AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: (A) STAGING AN ANNUAL LGBTQ+ PRIDE EVENT AND SMALLER EVENTS, INCLUDING ARTS AND CULTURE EVENTS, THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THAT APPEAL TO A BROADER SPECTRUM OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY. (B) THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND GENDER IDENTITY; (C) PROMOTING ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS; (D) CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY.
