THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, PRIMARILY TO PREVENT AND RELIEVE SICKNESS OF THOSE WITH SPINAL PROBLEMS, PARTICULARLY (BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY) BY: -RAISING AWARENESS OF SPINAL CONDITIONS AMONG THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS. -SUPPORTING EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND HEALTH CARE COMMUNITY AS TO THE BEST EVIDENCE-BASED DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT OF SPINAL DISORDERS. - PROVIDE A FORUM FOR THE STUDY OF THE ORIGIN, NATURAL HISTORY AND TREATMENT OF SPINAL CONDITIONS AND PATHOLOGIES. -ACT AS A CONDUIT FOR THE DISSEMINATION AND PROMOTION OF IMPACTFUL RESEARCH / BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINES LEADING TO ADVANCES IN UK SPINE CARE. -PROVIDE ADVOCACY AND REPRESENTATION OF SPINAL PATIENTS’ INTERESTS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, PROFESSIONAL ORGANISATIONS AND ALLIED HEALTH SPECIALTIES.
