AS STATED IN THE ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION: 2. OBJECTS 2.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE: 2.1.1 TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION BY PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR PLAYING BASKETBALL AND OTHER SPORTS (?FACILITIES? MEANS LAND, BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT AND ORGANISING SPORTING ACTIVITIES); 2.1.2 TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN BASKETBALL RELATED FACILITIES IN GREATER LONDON FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES; AND 2.1.3 TO ADVANCE ANY PURPOSE WHICH IS CHARITABLE UNDER THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES. 2.2 NOTHING IN THE ARTICLES SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND/OR SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
