THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PEOPLE ORIGINATING FROM THE INDIAN STATE OF UTTARAKHAND AND THEIR DEPENDENTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC, IN UTTARAKHANDI ART, CULTURE, LANGUAGES AND HERITAGE, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY ORGANIZING: - CULTURAL EVENTS, GET-TOGETHER ACTIVITIES AND USING DANCE, DRAMA, FILMS AND MUSIC TO SHARE THE CULTURAL EXPERIENCES. - COMMUNITY DAYS FOR CELEBRATING FESTIVALS LIKE DIWALI, HOLI AND SUMMER MELA ETC, WHICH ENABLE THE COMMUNITY TO COME TOGETHER AND SHARE TRADITIONAL VALUES. - PROGRAMMES FOR CHILDREN TO ENABLE THEM TO LEARN ABOUT UTTARAKHANDI LANGUAGES AND CUSTOMS THROUGH COMPETITIONS AND QUIZ PROGRAMMES.
