THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN ONE OR BOTH OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS:- 1) IN PROVIDING GRANTS AT THEIR DISCRETION TO BOYS OR GIRLS WHOSE PARENTS ARE BONA FIDE RESIDENT WITHIN THE AREA OF THE ANCIENT TOWNSHIP OF SOWERBY, AND WHO ARE MOVING TO A SECONDARY SCHOOL AND WHO ARE OR HAVE BEEN IN ATTENDANCE AT A PRIMARY SCHOOL. 2) IN PROVIDING GRANTS AT THEIR DISCRETION TO BOYS OR GIRLS WHOSE PARENTS ARE BONA FIDE RESIDENT WITHIN THE AREA OF THE ANCIENT TOWNSHIP OF SOWERBY, AND WHO ARE MOVING TO A UNIVERSITY OR COLLEGE OF HIGHER EDUCATION, AND WHO ARE OR HAVE BEEN IN ATTENDANCE AT A SECONDARY SCHOOL.
