Charitable objects
1A) THE RELIEF OF PERSONS IN NEED RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BEEFIT WHO ARE SICK, CONVALECENT, DISABLED OR INFIRM BY RELIEVING THEIR SUFFEREING OD ASSISTING THEIR RECOVERY. B) THE RELEIF OF NURSES WHO ARE IN NEED AND ARE RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND; C) THE RELIEF OF ANY RETIRED NURSES WHO ARE IN NEED AND WHO WERE FORMERLY EMPLOYED BY THE GLOUCESTER DISTRICT NURSING SOCIETY. 2) IN EACH FINANCIAL YEAR THE TRUSTEES MUST ALLOCATE A SUM OF ยท1000 FOR USE FOR OBJECTS B AND C IN SUB-CLAUSE 1 ABOVE. IF AND IN SO FAR AS THE SUM IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THOSE OBJECTS IT MAY BE APPLIED FOR OBJECT A IN THE FOLLOWING FINANCIAL YEAR. 3) THE TRUSTEES MAY RELIVE THOSE ELIGABLE FOR ASSISTANCE UNDER SUB-CLAUSE 1(A) ABOVE BY: A)MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY TO THEM; OR B) PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR GOODS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES FOR THEM; OR C) MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY TO OTHER PERSONS OR BODIES WHO PROVIDE GOODS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES TO THOSE ELIGABLE FOR ASSISTANCE. 4) IN EXCEPTIONAL CASES THE TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE TO ASSIST SOMEONE (WHO MUST OTHERWISE BE QUALIFIED) WHO IS: A) RESIDENT OUTSIDE THE AAREA OF BENEFIT; OR B)ONLY TEMPORARILY RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
