TO PROMOTE THE RELIGIOUS AND CHARITABLE WORK OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND BY PROVIDING ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR ALL OR ANY OF THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES TO WHICH THE CAPITULAR REVENUES OF THE DEAN AND CHAPTER OF THE CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF THE ST MARY THE VIRGIN IN BLACKBURN ('THE CATHEDRAL') ARE APPLICABLE INCLUDING: 1 THE PROMOTION AND MAINTENANCE TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF CHORAL AND RELATED SERVICES AND MUSICAL PERFORMANCES AT THE CATHEDRAL AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MUSICAL AND RELIGIOUS EDUCATION OF CHOIR MEMBERS INCLUDING THE GRANTING OF SCHOLARSHIPS AND/OR BURSARIES 2 THE WORK AND EXAMPLE OF THE CATHEDRAL WITHIN THE DIOCESE OF BLACKBURN AND MORE WIDELY TOWARDS THOSE OF CHRISTIAN AND OTHER FAITHS AND WORLD VIEWS, AND FOR THE SUPPORT OF PERSONS AND COMMUNITIES IN WANT 3 THE PRESERVATION MAINTENANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE CATHEDRAL, ITS FABRIC, FITTINGS AND MONUMENTS, AND ITS PROPERTIES AND LAND 4 THE AUGMENTATION OF THE CAPITULAR REVENUES OF THE CATHEDRAL
