THE OBJECTS FOR WHICH THE SOCIETY IS HEREBY CONSTITUTED ARE THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND PROMOTION OF GOOD PRACTICE FOR THOSE WORKING IN THE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONS, AND THE PROMOTION OF PUBLIC AWARENESS AND THE UNDERSTANDING OF MATTERS RELATING TO MEDICINE AND HEALTHCARE. WHERE THE TERM ‘HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONS’ HEREIN REFERS TO PERSONS WHO ARE OR WERE EMPLOYED IN EVERY ASPECT OF HEALTH CARE PROVISION, INCLUDING VETERINARY PRACTICE, ACADEMIC STUDY, RESEARCH AND STUDENTS THEREOF SUCH AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE FROM TIME TO TIME.
