The Charity’s objects (the “Objects”) are: (1) To provide protection of health and relief of sickness and distress to males who have suffered sexual abuse or rape and to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of such individuals and their carers and families. (2) In furtherance of Subclause 3(1) above, the Charity may undertake the following activities: (a) provide centres for meetings and the giving of advice, information, training and education; (b) provide appropriate and considered counselling that adheres to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy’s Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy; (c) provide individual or group based support through a range appropriate of physical and digital based services; (d) advance public awareness about all matters relating to the sexual assault, sexual abuse or rape of men and boys (e) collect and make available information about all matters relating to the sexual assault, sexual abuse or rape of men and boys including issues relating to providing protection of health and relief of sickness and distress to these individuals who have suffered sexual assault, sexual abuse or rape and promoting charitable purposes for the benefit of such males and their carers and families; (f) undertake intersectional activity that helps to recognise and better understand that sexual assault, sexual abuse and rape can take part / be better understood within the context of wider patterns of abuse; (g) use a range of appropriate physical or digital communications to either; procure, write, print, publish, issue and circulate, materials intended to further or achieve the above objects. (3) In relation to Subclauses 3(1) and 3(2) above, although the Charity shall primarily support male individuals, the Charity may also undertake such actions, including the provision of appropriate services to support non-binary individuals where SurvivorsUK is the best fit for their needs.
