THE OBJECTS ARE BY SUCH MEANS AS ARE CHARITABLE, AND ONLY BY SUCH MEANS, TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AT LARGE CONCERNING THE HISTORY AND RURAL LIFE OF ENGLAND DURING THE SEVENTEENTH CENTURY IN GENERAL AND DURING THE PERIOD OF THE ENGLISH CIVIL WAR IN PARTICULAR, IN THEIR MILITARY HISTORICAL RELIGIOUS CULTURAL AND SOCIAL ASPECTS; AND TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION AND INTERPRETATION OF THE SITE OF THE BATTLE OF NASEBY WHICH TOOK PLACE ON 14TH JUNE 1645, AND SITES RELATING TO THE MILITARY MANOEUVRES PRECEDING AND SUBSEQUENT TO THE SAME, AND TO PRESERVE THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL FEATURES AND ECOLOGY OF THE SITES AS AN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE.
