1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN LITHUANIA BY: A) SUPPORTING EDUCATION AL INSTITUTIONS AND APPRENTICESHIP SCHEMES; B) ENCOURAGING THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE UNITED KINGDOM BY THE PROVISION OF PRINTED AND AUDIO-VISUAL MATERIALS FOR THE USE OF STUDENTS IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS; 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN LITHUANIA BY: A) ASSISTING IN THE PREPARATION OF EXHIBITIONS AND SYMPOSIA AND FESTIVALS RELATING TO THE HISTORY, ART, SCIENCE AND CULTURE OF LITHUANIA OR THE UNITED KINGDOM; B) PUBLICATION OF MATERIALS OF AN EDUCATIONAL NATURE IN PRINTED, BROADCAST OR ELECTRONIC FORM; C) SUPPORTING OTHER PROJECTS OF EDUCATIONAL VALUE TO LITHUANIA; 3) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE UNITED KINGDOM (INCLUDING LITHUANIANS LIVING IN THE UNITED KINGDOM) BY: A) ASSISTING IN THE PREPARATION OF EXHIBITIONS, SYMPOSIA AND FESTIVALS RELATING TO THE HISTORY, ART, SCIENCE AND CULTURE OF LITHUANIA; B) PUBLICATION OF MATERIAL OF AN EDUCATIONAL NATURE IN PRINTED, BROADCAST OR ELECTRONIC FORM RELATING TO LITHUANIA OR LITHUANIANS; C) SUPPORTING OTHER PROJECTS OF EDUCATIONAL VALUE RELATING TO LITHUANIA OR LITHUANIANS, INCLUDING SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY SCHOOLS, FOLK GROUPS, ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THE LITHUANIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE, AND PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS OR GIVING AWARDS; D) ASSISTING IN THE COLLECTION AND ARCHIVING OR MATERIALS RELATED TO THE HISTORY OF LITHUANIANS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM; 4) TO ADVANCE AMATEUR SPORT AMONGST LITHUANIANS LIVING IN THE UNITED KINGDOM BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR SUCH ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS; 5) TO RELIEVE POVERTY IN LITHUANIA BY SUPPORTING THE ACTIVITIES OF ESTABLISHED ORGANISATIONS ENGAGED IN SUCH WORK. 6) TO IMPROVE THE TREATMENT AND CARE OF THOSE SUFFERING FROM DISEASE IN LITHUANIA OR THE UNITED KINGDOM BY FACILITATING THE EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE BETWEEN SPECIALISTS IN THE TWO COUNTRIES
