THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN THE UNITED KINGDOM IN PARTICULAR AND WORLDWIDE IN GENERAL FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY PROPAGATING THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST AND PROCLAIMING THE KINGDOM OF GOD THROUGH PREACHING THE UNDILUTED WORD OF GOD, ESTABLISHMENT OF CENTRES FOR WORSHIP, LECTURES, CONFERENCES, PUBLICATIONS, MUSICAL CONCERTS, PRAYER, AND BY ENSURING SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF MEMBERS AND ENCOURAGING THEM TO BE DOERS OF THE WORD AND TO LIVE LIVES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS AND PREVAILING PRAYER - IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATEMENTS OF BELIEFS (TENETS) STATED BELOW (SEE CONSTITUTION). B. TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE RELIEF OF HARDSHIP THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, MORAL AND MATERIAL SUPPORT TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WHO ARE POOR, SICK, AGED OR HOPELESS AND/OR IN NEED ( IN THE UNITED KINGDOM IN PARTICULAR AND WORLDWIDE IN GENERAL) ESPECIALLY IN COUNTRIES CONNECTED WITH OUR CHURCH MEMBERS (CURRENTLY GHANA, NIGERIA, SIERRA LEONE AND UGANDA) BY SUCH MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY CONSIDER APPROPRIATE. C. TO ENGAGE WITH IN DIVERSE COMMUNITY CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES ESPECIALLY WITH THE UN-CHURCHED, YOUTHS AND THE FAMILY - WHICH FORMS THE PIVOT OF THE SOCIETY, THROUGH THE RUNNING OF A FAMILY FORUM PROVIDING ADVICE AND COUNSELLING ON DIVERSE ISSUES.
