Objects of the Hope Health Action are: 1) To relieve sickness and need and promote good health, in particular by a) providing lifesaving health and disability care to the world's most vulnerable people in Haiti, East Africa and other nations the board of trustees consider appropriate. HHA?s work specifically focuses on the following key areas: Maternal Health, Child and Infant Health, Community Health, Disability Care and Emergency Response, b) providing healthcare and facility-based services to help improve the health of people living in our target regions. c) providing community-based services to help improve the health of people living in our target regions. This includes advancing health education services and implementing community-based rehabilitation services. d) providing respite care for children with disabilities in our target regions. e) providing specific rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities in our target regions 2) To relieve financial hardship and suffering among victims of natural or other kinds of disaster or humanitarian emergencies by: a) providing in the form of money (or other means deemed suitable) relief for persons, bodies, organisations in Haiti, East Africa or other countries as the trustees may decide. b) providing urgent financial, medical and practical support and on the ground aid and training to victims of disasters in clearly identified developing world countries. 3) To advance the education of the public in public health and hygiene in particular but not exclusively by operating advocacy programmes to raise awareness in the UK and internationally, on global issues connected with HHA?s key health and disability objectives.
