THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 3.1 TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT SUCH EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION BY: 3.1.1 ACTING AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 24 BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING APPRENTICESHIP PLACEMENTS; 3.1.2 PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF ACTIVITIES THAT WILL ENABLE YOUNG PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY AS INDEPENDENT AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; 3.1.3 PROMOTING GOOD CITIZENSHIP; 3.1.4 PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES FOR RECREATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE COMMUNITY BY WORKING WITH SPORTS CLUBS AND TEAMS; AND 3.1.5 ADVANCING EDUCATION. 3.1.6 PROMOTING, BUT NOT PROSELYTISING, THE POSSIBLE BENEFITS OF CHRISTIAN AND OTHER FAITHS IN ENABLING THE PRACTICE OF FORGIVENESS AND TOLERANCE IN SITUATIONS OF CONFLICT FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE WIDER COMMUNITY. 3.2 TO PROMOTE THE PROTECTION OF PEOPLE AND THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND RELIEVE ALL THOSE AFFLICTED BY VIOLENCE OR ABUSE IN THEIR OWN LIVES WHETHER THEY ARE AGGRESSORS OR VICTIMS OR BOTH INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION BY: 3.2.1 EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE TO DEVELOP THE ABILITY TO MANAGE ANGER AND TO DEVELOP SKILLS IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, ENGAGE AND PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY WITHOUT RESORTING TO VIOLENCE; 3.2.2 BY ENCOURAGEMENT OF GREATER PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THE PREVENTION AND SOLUTION OF CRIME WITH A VIEW TO THE PRESERVATION OF PUBLIC ORDER; 3.2.3 BY ASSISTING THE POLICE IN MEASURES DESIGNED TO REDUCE THE LEVEL OF CRIME; AND 3.2.4 INCLUDING PROVISION OF PEER SUPPORT TO THOSE AFFECTED BY VIOLENT CRIME. 3.4 TO PROMOTE ANY OTHER PURPOSE THAT IS CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES THAT SUPPORTS OR ASSISTS YOUNG PEOPLE AND THOSE AFFECTED BY CRIME.
