Support and undertake research on the history, antiquities, culture, languages, literature, art, institutions, customs and natural history of Libya and Northern Africa; Organise and promote missions to the region for these purposes; Arrange publication of research in these fields and hold lectures and meetings; Publish an annual Journal and other publications concerning the region.
