For the public benefit, to promote the saving of lives and health and safety of the public, in particular by: Acting as a resource and umbrella body for mountain rescue charities and voluntary organisations Promoting and facilitating effective links with other rescue services Promoting high standards of training Providing support with training Co-ordinating the work of its member teams
