Younger people learn to sail in single handed or double handed boats and can be lost to the sport if facility to experience larger boats is not available. Cowes Keelboat Youth Charity sees this as its mission. To achieve this, it runs a training academy in the first three months of the year for sailors aged 29 or under and then charters its boats to participants with bursary funding support.
