The objects of the CIO is to celebrate and advance the education of the culture, including performing arts, language, and literature of Kerala. The performing arts will significantly emphasise traditional, folk, and classical music, dance, and theatre of Kerala. The language and literature will focus on Malayalam, and the writers and writings on or from Kerala.
