1. The name of the Charity is the Sir Robert Lee’s Charity 2. The objects of the Charity are: to make payments, under any of the following headings, for the benefit either of the poor of the Low Town of Bridgnorth generally, or to such people resident therein that the trustees select. I. Aiding any other organisations of similar purpose established in or near the said Low Town for the relief of poverty or the provision of education. II. Contributions towards: - (a) the provision of materials or equipment for nurses or other carers for the sick and infirm (b) the travelling expenses of patients to and from medical institutions if not met by statutory authorities III. The supply of:- (a) clothing or equipment for people entering a trade or occupation, (b) domestic equipment or furnishings for people in need (c) Temporary relief in money or otherwise for people in need The Low Town of Bridgnorth – Area of Benefit The boundary of the Charity’s work is defined by the area of Bridgnorth to the east of the River Severn to the ridge of the hermitage, coincidentally the town boundary with Worfield parish, and to the north to include up to the northern edge of the settlement at Fort Pendlestone, and to the south the junction of the Old Worcester Road and the A442 on a line adjoining the river.
