A) TO RELIEVE OFFICERS OF THE CORPS OF THE KING'S SHROPSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY (ALL UNITS OF THE KING'S SHROPSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY AND HEREFORDSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY, REGULAR, TERRITORIAL, AND CADETS) AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED BY VIRTUE OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, SICKNESS OR OLD AGE IN SUCH CHARITABLE WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT. B) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE SERVING CORPS (ALL UNITS OF THE RIFLES, REGULAR, TERRITORIAL AND CADETS) BY FOSTERING ESPRIT DE CORPS AND MAINTAINING CONTACT WITH PAST AND PRESENT MEMBERS OF THE SERVING CORPS AND THE ANTECEDENT CORPS OF THE KING'S SHROPSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY. C) THE COMMEMORATION AND REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE MEMBERS OF THE CORPS OF THE KING'S SHROPSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY WHO HAVE DIED WHILE ON ACTIVE SERVICE AND THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF PUBLIC RECOGNITION OF THE SACRIFICE MADE BY SUCH PERSONS. D) THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND THE SERVING CORPS ABOUT THE HISTORY, DEEDS, TRADITION AND ROLES OF THE CORPS OF THE KING'S SHROPSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY.
