(A) TO PROMOTE THE PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG CHILDREN, PARTICULARLY THOSE WHO ARE DISADVANTAGED, TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE READY TO FLOURISH WHEN THEY GO TO SCHOOL; (B) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, AND IN PARTICULAR THE EAST END OF THAT CITY (THE AREA OF BENEFIT) BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE LOCAL INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS; (C) TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION; (D) TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MANAGE AND MAINTAIN THE SAME AND TO DO ALL SUCH THINGS AS ARE USUALLY CARRIED OUT IN SUCH A CENTRE IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE AIMS. NONE OF THESE AIMS BEING INIMICAL TO THE WELFARE OR CONTRARY TO THE PRINCIPLES OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND.
