BROMSGROVE STREET PASTORS WORK IN PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE CHURCHES OF BROMSGROVE, THE POLICE AND THE DISTRICT COUNCIL. THE FOCUS OF THE PROJECT IS TO TRAIN AND EQUIP PATROLS OF VOLUNTEERS TO WORK IN LOCALLY IDENTIFIED AREAS WHERE CRIME AND/OR ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR IS COMMONPLACE. ALL VOLUNTEERS ARE MEMBERS OF LOCAL CHURCHES. THE AIM IS TO HELP REDUCE THESE ISSUES, PARTICULARLY WHEN RELATED TO INCIDENTS THAT COULD ARISE AS A RESULT OF THE MISUSE OF ALCOHOL. THIS WILL INCLUDE LATE AT NIGHT ON A FRIDAY AND/OR SATURDAY WHEN DIFFICULTIES ARISE IN BROMSGROVE AS PEOPLE ARE LEAVING THE NIGHT CLUB AND PUBS IN THE TOWN CENTRE. PATROLS WILL ASSIST WHERE SAFE AND NECESSARY TO ENSURE THAT THE WELLBEING OF VULNERABLE PEOPLE IS MAINTAINED.
