Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION ARE TO STIMULATE AND PROMOTE, THE DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF THE SCIENCE AND TECHNIQUE OF IRRIGATION, DRAINAGE, FLOOD CONTROL AND RIVER TRAINING IN ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL ASPECTS. THE OBJECTS OF THE BRITISH SECTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION ON IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE SHALL BE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF THE SCIENCE AND TECHNIQUES OF IRRIGATION, LAND DRAINAGE, SOIL STUDY AND FLOOD CONTROL.
