THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE TO ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY: INITIATING AND SUSTAINING ACTIVITIES DIRECTED AT CONSERVING ARTEFACTS AND LITERATURE WHEREVER MADE OR WRITTEN RELATING TO THE DISCOVERY OF X RAYS AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF MEDICAL RADIOLOGY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM SO THAT SUCH ARTEFACTS AND LITERATURE MAY BE MAINTAINED IN PERPETUITY; PROMOTING THE STUDY AND GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE ARTEFACTS AND LITERATURE; AND FOSTERING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE FAR REACHING CONSEQUENCES OF THE DISCOVERY OF X RAYS AND THEIR APPLICATION FOR ASSISTING IN THE IMPROVEMENT OF HEALTH.
