The Society's main activity involves the funding of a series of Research Fellowships in partnership with the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge for practitioners in the field of Criminal Justice to carry out research relating to women offenders in the criminal justice system. 1. TO PROMOTE THE REHABILITATION AND RELIEF IN NEED OF WOMEN AND GIRLS WHO OFFEND AND THOSE AT RISK OF OFFENDING (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS 'WOMEN WHO OFFEND'). 2. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF WOMEN WHO OFFEND. 3. TO COMMISSION OR CONDUCT RESEARCH INTO THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MEASURES FOR THE TREATMENT OF WOMEN WHO OFFEND AND TO PUBLISH THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH.
