THE PROVISION OF ALMSHOUSES FOR THE RESIDENCE OF PERSONS IN NECESSITOUS CIRCUMSTANCES BEING: 1) PERSONS OVER THE AGE OF 50 YEARS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF A NON-CONFORMIST DENOMINATION; AND 2) ELDERLY WOMEN WHO ARE INHABITANTS OF READING AND DISTRICT. AND OTHERWISE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS IN THE ALMSHOUSES.
