Charitable objects
CHARITIES AND THEIR ENDOWMENTS SHALL BE DIVIDED INTO THREE BRANCHES. 1) THE ALMSHOUSE BRANCH, 2) THE CHURCH BRANCH AND 3) THE QUEEN MARY'S ALMSMEN BRANCH. (A) INCOME OF THE ALMSHOUSE BRANCH SHALL BE APPLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ALMSPEOPLE OF THE CHARITIES WHO SHALL BE POOR PERSONS OF GOOD CHARACTER WHO HAVE RESIDED IN THE BOROUGH FOR NOT LESS THAN TWO YEARS NEXT PRECCEDING THE TIME OF APPOINTMENT. (B) INCOME OF THE CHURCH BRANCH SHALL BE APPLY-: IN DEFRAYING THE COST OF REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF THE FABRIC OF ABBEY CHURCH OF TEWKESBURY, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE VICAR OF THE CHURCH AND FOR THE UPKEEP OF THE TOMB OF CHARLES WYNDE AND HIS WIFE. (C) INCOME OF THE QUEEN MARY'S ALMSMEN SHALL BE DIVIDED BETWEEN THIRTEEN APPOINTED POOR MEN OF GOOD CHARACTER OF THE BOROUGH.
