Charitable objects

(1) THE PROVISION OF HOUSING ACCOMMODATION FOR BENEFICIARIES; AND SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF RESIDENTS; AND FOR THE RELIEF OF PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS BY: (2) MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY; OR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR ITEMS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES CALCULATED TO REDUCE THE NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OF SUCH PERSONS; OR GRANTS TO THOSE WHO PROVIDE SAID SERVICES OR; THE PAYMENT OF PENSIONS TO POOR PERSONS (IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS IN CLAUSE 31 OF SCHEME). (3) IN EXCEPTIONAL CASES TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE TO ASSIST THOSE OUTSIDE AREA OF BENEFIT OR A TEMPORARY RESIDENT. (4) IF INCOME CAN NOT BE APPLIED AS STATED IN CLAUSES (1), (2), (3), THE TRUSTEES MAY APPLY IT FOR THE GENERAL BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF AREA OF BENEFIT. (5) THE LAND IN PART 1 OF SCHEDULE OF SCHEME BE RETAINED BY TRUSTEES FOR PROVISION OF HOUSING ACCOMMODATION FOR RESIDENTS.
