I) TO ACQUIRE, EXAMINE AND COMMENT AS NECESSARY ON PLANNING APPLICATIONS RELATING TO THE CITIES OF LONDON, WESTMINSTER AND THE LONDON BOROUGHS (THE AREA OF BENEFIT)AND TO ACT AS A CO-ORDINATING BODY AND CO-OPERATE WITH THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES' PLANNING COMMITTEES, ALL OTHER STATUTORY AUTHORITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, CHARITIES AND PERSONS HAVING SIMILAR AIMS TO THOSE OF THE SOCIETY. II) TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN OR AFFECTING THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
