1) TO ENABLE AND ASSIST POOR CHILDREN OF BRITISH BIRTH AND ESPECIALLY ORPHANS TO EMIGRATE FROM ANY PART OF GREAT BRITAIN TO ANY PART OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA AND THERE TO ESTABLISH AND EQUIP THEMSELVES FOR LIFE. 2) TO ASSIST STUDENTS RESIDENT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM BY AWARDING GRANTS OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO ENABLE THEM TO STUDY IN UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES IN AUSTRALIA.
