Charitable objects

1) FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ALMSPEOPL OF THE CHARITY OR ANY OF THEM IN SUCH MANNER AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT. 2) THE ALMSPEOPLE SHALL BE POOR AGED WIDOWS, SPINSTERS OR MARRIED COUPLES WHO (EXCEPT IN SPECIAL CASES TO BE APPROVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS) ARE RESIDENT IN ONE OF THE PARISHES OF ASKRIGG AND LOW ABBOTSIDE AT THE TIME OF APPOINTMENT, OR WHO WERE BORN IN ONE OF THOSE PARISHES.
