Charitable objects
THE TRUSTEES SHALL STAND POSSESSED OF THE TRUST FUND AND THE INCOME THEREOF UPON TRUST TO APPLY THE SAME FOR SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THEY SHALL IN THEIR DISCRETION THINK FIT. WITHOUT DEROGATING IN ANY WAY FROM THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING TRUST THE TRUSTEES MAY PERFORM THE SAME BY APPLYING THE TRUST FUND AND THE INCOME THEREOF FOR THE PROMOTION AND ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ARMED SERVICES OF THE CROWN AND IN PARTICULAR MAY PERFORM THE SAME (A) BY MAKING GRANTS AND AWARDING PRIZES OF SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES FOR SUCCESSFUL ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION AND (B) BY AWARDING PRIZES AND TROPHIES FOR COMPETITIONS AND ACTIVITIES WHICH INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE CROWN.
