2. TO ASSIST AND SUPPORT THE DEAN AND CHAPTER IN FURTHERING THE RELIGIOUS AND CHARITABLE WORK OF THE CATHEDRAL IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY -
A. TO HELP BY PRAYER, GIFTS AND SERVICES IN THE GENERAL WORK OF THE CATHEDRAL, AND BY CONTRIBUTING TOWARDS THE CATHEDRAL'S MAINTENANCE, ADORNMENT, IMPROVEMENT AND PRESERVATION
B. TO FORGE AND STRENGTHEN LINKS BETWEEN THE CATHEDRAL, DIOCESE AND THE COMMUNITY BOTH IN THE CITY OF LEICESTER AND THE COUNTY OF LEICESTERSHIRE
C. TO PROVIDE A MEANS OF BINDING TOGETHER IN FRIENDSHIP AND SOCIETY THOSE WHO WISH TO PLAY A PART IN SUPPORTING THE CATHEDRAL'S LIFE AND WORSHIP
