Charitable objects
The objects for which the Charity, which is dedicated to the Glorious Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, is established are: 2.1.1 For advancement of the Christian religion for the benefit of the public to act as a Religious Community of the Church of England who join in the Apostolate of the Church among people by living out together a balanced calling of prayer, worship, fellowship and work under the Evangelical Counsels of Poverty, Celibacy and Obedience and engaging in charitable religious and educational work in the United Kingdom and abroad and carrying out pastoral and evangelical, literary, educational; and all or any works regarded by the Charity as being for the advancement of the Christian religion amongst humankind; and 2.1.2 in the event that the Charity ceases to be recognised by the House of Bishops of the Church of England as a Religious Community of the Church of England such charitable purposes as shall be for the advancement of the Christian religion amongst humankind.? and ?Religious Community means as defined in paragraph 2(1) of Canon DA 1 "Of religious communities" of the Church of England.
