Maintain contact with city planning authorities and scrutinise planning applications. Put forward members' views on larger developments to the press and city planners. Provide information, visits and talks on Exeter. Keep records of existing Blue Plaques and commission new ones. Keep members up to date through an e-mailing list, regular newsletter and monthly open mornings.

(II) TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, NATURAL HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT. (III) TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION PROTECTION DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
