TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND AESTHETIC TASTE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET AND THE NEIGHBOURHOODS THEREOF IN THE ARTS AND CRAFTS AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR THE RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATIONS OF THE SAID INHABITANTS AND IN PARTICULAR THOSE WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR AGE YOUTH OR DISABILITY WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
