Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY SHALL BE: TO PROMOTE, MAINTAIN, IMPROVE AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC PARTICULARLY BY THE PROMOTION OF ARTS ACTIVITIES INCLUDING ART EXHIBITIONS, PERFORMANCES OF DRAMA,MUSIC, OPERA, AND BALLET, FILM SHOWS AND READING OF POETRY AND LITERATURE, WHETHER DURING THE FESTIVAL OR AT OTHER TIMES. IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS THE SOCIETY MAY ALSO A) ADVANCE AND ENCOURAGE THE STUDY AND PRACTICE OF MUSIC, DRAMA, DANCE, LITERATURE, ART AND CRAFT BY THE PROMOTION OF A COMPETITIVE FESTIVAL EACH YEAR. B) RAISE FUNDS AND INVITE AND RECEIVE CONTRIBUTIONS FROM ANY PERSON OR PERSONS WHATSOEVER BY WAY OF SUBSCRIPTIONS AND OTHERWISE, PROVIDED THAT THE SOCIETY SHALL NOT UNDERTAKE ANY PERMANENT TRADING ACTIVITIES IN RAISING FUNDS FOR ITS PRIMARY CHARITABLE OBJECTS C) DO ALL SUCH OTHER LAWFUL THINGS AS SHALL FURTHER THE ABOVE OBJECTS.
