It also seeks to promote the cause of church music by disseminating information and co-operating with like-minded organisations.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE ART AND SCIENCE OF CHURCH MUSIC BY FACILITATING THE SELECTION AND PERFORMANCE OF THE MUSIC WHICH IS MOST SUITABLE FOR DIFFERENT OCCASIONS OF DIVINE WORSHIP AND FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF CHOIR, WITHOUT PARTISANSHIP FOR ANY PARTICULAR STYLE OF COMPOSITION AND WITHOUT ADOPTING ANY ONE ECCLESIASTICAL STANDPOINT.
