CONSTITUTION ADOPTED 10 JULY 1986 AS AMENDED 24 JUNE 2003.
Charitable objects
(I) TO PRESERVE THE ANTIQUITY AND CHARACTER OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT AS A THRIVING COMMUNITY. (II) TO EDUCATE THE CITIZENS AND FRIENDS OF BEXHILL IN AN APPRECIATION OF THE HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY, NATURAL HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE AREA. (III) TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTION, DEVELOPMENT AD IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. (IV) TO PROMOTE A HIGH STANDARD OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN OR AFFECTING THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND TO OPPOSE ANY INAPPROPRIATE DEVELOPMENTS. (V)TO REPRESENT THE VIEWS OF THE SOCIETY TO LOCAL, COUNTY AND OTHER AUTHORITIES. (VI) TO INSURE, MAINTAIN, REPAIR AND KEEP IN WORKING ORDER, THE JUBILEE CLOCK AND ITS BELFRY. (VIII) TO HELP FOSTER LOCAL COMMUNITY SPIRIT, TO ARRANGE LECTURES AND SOCIAL EVENTS CONNECTED WITH THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
