TO ADMINISTER SPECIFIC LANDS, PROPERTIES AND INVESTMENTS AND TO UTILISE THE SAME, INCOME THEREFROM OR THE PROCEEDS OF SALE THEREOF FOR THE BENEFIT OF RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT AND DISSEMINATION OF USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH IN MATTER DIRECTLY AFFECTING HORTICULTURAL CROPS GENERALLY WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON THE FRUIT HOP AND NURSERY STOCK INDUSTRIES (OR ANY ONE OR MORE OF THEM) AND WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON WORK CONDUCTED AT EAST MALLING RESEARCH STATION BUT NOT NECESSARILY EXCLUDING RESEARCH ELSEWHERE.
