Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE A CHESS TOURNAMENT ONCE IN EACH CALENDAR YEAR ON A DATE TO BE DETERMINED BY THE TRUSTEES IN WHICH THE PARTICIPANTS SHALL BE CHILDREN WHO WILL BE UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE ON THE 1ST OF SEPTEMBER IN THE CALENDAR YEAR PREVIOUS TO THAT YEAR IN WHICH THE TOURNAMENT SHALL BE HELD, AND WHO ARE ATTENDING SOME SCHOOL, COLLEGE OR OTHER PLACE OF FULL-TIME EDUCATION. SUCH CHILDREN SHALL BE SELECTED BY THE CHESS FEDERATIONS OF ENGLAND, WALES, SCOTLAND AND IRELAND UNDER THE GENERAL DIRECTION OF THE TRUSTEES.
