Activities - how the charity spends its money
The objects of the Lady Mico Trust are to give support, over and above that available from the Government of Jamaica, to Mico University College in Kingston, Jamaica, and more generally to assist the education of young persons resident in Commonwealth countries of the West Indies, having regard in all of this to promotion of education in the Christian faith.

Charitable objects
(A) IN OR TOWARDS PROVIDING SUCH SPECIAL BENEFITS OF ANY KIND NOT NORMALLY OR ADEQUATELY PROVIDED BY THE EDUCATION AUTHORITIES IN KINGSTON, JAMAICA FOR MICO COLLEGE AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE AGREED BETWEEN THE TRUSTEES AND THE BOARD OF THAT COLLEGE (B) IN ASSISTING YOUNG PERSONS WHO ARE RESIDENT IN JAMAICA OR SUCH OTHER COUNTRIES OF THE WEST INDIES AS ARE MEMBER COUNTRIES OF THE COMMONWEALTH WHO ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND WHO ARE PREPARING FOR, ENTERING UPON OR ENGAGED IN ANY PROFESSION, TRADE, OCCUPATION OR SERVICE, BY PROVIDING THEM WITH OUTFITS, OR BY PAYING FEES, TRAVELLING OR MAINTENANCE EXPENSES, OR BY SUCH OTHER MEANS FOR THEIR ADVANCEMENT IN LIFE OR TO ENABLE THEM TO EARN A LIVING AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT.
