Charitable objects
1. THE CONSERVATION, RESTORATION, MAINTENANCE AND ENHANCEMENT FOR T HE BENEFIT OF THE DISTRICT OF EPPING FOREST IN ESSEX AND OF THE NATION AT LARGE OF COPPED HALL, IN EPPING ESSEX AND ITS OUTBUILDINGS, GARDENS, GROUNDS AND ENVIRONS FOR THE TIME BEING (TOGETHER CALLED "COPPED HALL"); AND 2. TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION BY SUCH MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL THINK FIT PARTICULARLY (WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY) IN THE HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURAL VALUE OF COPPED HALL AND THE HISTORY AND ECOLOGICAL VALUE OF EPPING FOREST AND ITS SUPPORT LANDS; AND 3. IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, TO PROVIDE, OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AT COPPED HALL FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITHIN THE MEANING OF THE RECREATIONAL CHARITIES ACT 1958. ("SUPPORT LANDS") MEANS THOSE LANDS ADJACENT TO OR SURROUNDING EPPING FOREST WHICH PROVIDE ECOLOGICAL PROTECTION FOR THE FOREST.
