Charitable objects
TO SAFEGUARD, PROTECT AND PROMOTE THE INTERESTS OF VULNERABLE PEOPLE IN ENGLAND & WALES, PRIMARILY IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF REDBRIDGE AND NEIGHBOURING BOROUGHS AND COUNTIES. THIS INCLUDES PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS, PEOPLE WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY, PEOPLE WITH AN AUTISTIC SPECTRUM DISORDER, PEOPLE WITH A PHYSICAL DISABILITY, PEOPLE WITH A SENSORY IMPAIRMENT, OLDER PEOPLE INCLUDING PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, AND CARERS. THE CHARITY WILL EMPOWER SUCH BENEFICIARIES (SERVICE USERS) TO EXERCISE INDEPENDENCE, CHOICE AND CONTROL OVER HOW THEIR SUPPORT NEEDS ARE MET, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING CARE SERVICES, OUTREACH SUPPORT, HOUSING, ASSOCIATED AMENITIES, TRAINING AND DAY ACTIVITIES FOR THE BENEFICIARIES. DEVELOPING A RANGE OF PERSONALISED SUPPORT AND ADVICE SERVICES TO ENABLE SERVICE USERS TO MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS AND LEAD INDEPENDENT LIVES PROVIDING ONE-TO-ONE ADVOCACY SERVICES USING PAID AND VOLUNTEER ADVOCATES SUPPORTING SELF-ADVOCACY GROUPS AND SERVICE USER INVOLVEMENT PROMOTING ADVOCACY AND GOOD PRACTICE IN ADVOCACY. WORKING WITH THE STATUTORY, VOLUNTARY AND BUSINESS SECTORS TO PROMOTE GREATER KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF INCLUSION ISSUES ADVANCING PUBLIC EDUCATION IN DISABILITY RELATED ISSUES. UNDERTAKING OR ASSISTING IN THE UNDERTAKING OF RESEARCH AND PUBLISHING THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH
