The object of the CSJ is to advance the education of the public in and to promote the pilgrimage to Saint James of Compostela in the Spanish region of Galicia and the related history, art, architecture and music, including promoting research, presenting educational programmes, identifying and preserving monuments, providing information on routes, establishing paths, maintaining hostels etc.
