TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC:- A) IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THE SECULAR AND SPIRITUAL HISTORY OF LASTINGHAM CHURCH ("THE CHURCH"); AND B) IN UNDERSTANDING THE PLACE OF THE CHURCH IN ITS LOCALITY AND THE WIDER WORLD AND ITS IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE CELTIC AND EARLY CHURCH HISTORY AND AS A CENTRE OF PILGRIMAGE. 2. TO MAINTAIN, REPAIR, PRESERVE, BEAUTIFY AND RECONSTRUCT THE FABRIC OF THE CHURCH, ITS MONUMENTS, FIXTURES, FITTINGS, STAINED GLASS, ORNAMENTS AND OTHER CHATTELS AND ITS CHURCHYARD
