TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE CANDIDATES AT ST CUTHBERT'S COLLEGE, USHAW - BY CONTRIBUTING TO THE MAINTENANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE COLLEGE - BY OFFERING GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO PUPILS OF THE COLLEGE - BY FORMING A CENTRE OF UNION FOR ALUMNI/ALUMNAE IN WHATEVER PART OF THE WORLD THEY RESIDE - BY PROMOTING OTHER SUCH LEGAL, CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE COUNCIL OF THE SOCIETY SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE.
