THE COMMUNITY CENTRE IS OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY DURING DAY TIME AND IN THE EVENINGS FOR PRE BOOKED ACTIVITIES. U3A , VOLUNTEERS and INDIVIDUALS RUN CLASSES. OUR VOLUNTEERS AND INDIVIDUALS OFFER ACTIVITIES SOME OF WHICH ARE SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUTH WORK, AND ALSO FOR GROUPS WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS. LIGHT REFRESMENTS ARE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE MONDAY TO SATURDAY.

Charitable objects
(I) PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF HAXBY AND WIGGINTON (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE AREA OF BENEFIT") WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS FOR LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS AND IN PARTICULAR YOUNG PEOPLE (II) TO ESTABLISH, OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF, A COMMUNITY BUILDING AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE THE SAME (WHETHER ALONE OR IN CO-OPERATION WITH ANY LOCAL AUTHORITY OR OTHER PERSON OR BODY) IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS; (III) TO PROMOTE SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS MAY, FROM TIME TO TIME, BE DETERMINED.
